Mucking Magnificent Milestone GIVEAWAY!

I don’t even know if I have words to express how excited I am right now! This past week not only marked my two year water marbling anniversary but I also hit 50,000 followers on Instagram, 3,000 Likes on Facebook and 5,000 subscribers and 500,000 views on YouTube! In order to celebrate all these magnificent mucking milestones I knew I had to put together an EPIC giveaway to show my appreciation for each and every one of you that have taken the time to support me! You won’t believe all the brands that have contributed to this mucking giveaway, the prizes are INSANE, and there happen to be 11 chances to win! Thats right now one, two or three but ELEVEN PRIZES!

In the past couple of months the indie polish world has been bombarded by the epicness that is Pipe Dream Polishes a Night in Vegas collection created by the lovely April! Not only are these colors bright, bold and beautiful they are some for the best polishes that I ever tried for water marbling and I’ve created some of my favorite designs with them. Rainbow is after all my favorite color!

If you don’t have any ILNP shades in your collection here is your chance to change that! Barbra of ILNP has this knack for creating some of the most unique polishes I have ever gotten to try. From her many holographic colors to the ever-growing line of multi chromes she has done it again with some new colors made up of color-shifting flakes! I personally choose these four shades out of the collection from the 13 colors included as I felt they have the most color change to them

In the past year these easy to use nail vinyls have opened up a whole new world for the nail art community! From chevrons to lighting bolts, their creator Linda, is constantly adding new vinyls to her collection of stickers adding the ability for fast, easy and beautiful nail art to their users. I myself have been able to create some stellar designs with them. This variety pack includes so many different kinds of vinyls to it!

Two years ago I bought a lovely holographic set from my first indie brand, Lacquer Lust. I did a water marble with them, Jo graciously shared my photo and from then on my love for indie brands just kept rising. These holographic shades not only have amazing formulas to them but they work great for water marbling, something I haven’t been able to find with many other lacquers.

Thermal polishes give some of the most amazing gradient effects without having to do any of the work! The Queen of thermals, Katherine of Polished by KPT, has influenced and dominated the thermal market with her chic color combos. Along with her thermals, all the glittery combos she creates are so unique! Swatch credit: Lacquerloon, Pinpoint Polish and Lacquer Style

Glow in the dark polishes will forever have a place in my heart. The first one I got to try many moons ago was the infamous Day Glow created by Victoria of Serum No. 5. Her line of GITD shades are great for business during the day and partying during the night! Along with two GITD polishes this prize includes a shiny metallic holographic one coater shade that really does luxe so good! This prize includes three full size polishes unlike the photo pictured below.

This next prize is an essential one for any and everyone that does their nails. One of my least favorite things to do in the nail care process is file my nails. When I use a glass nail file, that dislike is greatly decreased. They file so much smoother then a regular one and it makes life that much easier. When you are finished up filing you must soak those cuticles in some oil. A easy way to do that is by using a cuticle oil stick which slowly drips out oil onto the attached brush. Great for next to bed or in your purse. Plus this one smells like tea tree, something that I use daily in my bodily health care.

Another essential item for the average nail lover is a great topcoat and one of the bes out there has got to be HK Girl from Jill of Glisten & Glow. This set below contains one of those amazing must have topcoats, one stuck on blu base coat, a cuticle balm, a cuticle oil roller tube stick and a nail file and orange stick.

Last of the polish prizes is this beautiful holiday trio from Missi of Different Dimensions. It just so happens this lovely lady is located super close to me! I still have yet to get to meet her, I must change that. From the colors to the names and the formulas to the themes of the sets she creates, her collections are always so unique! “I Survived Black Friday 2014” Collaboration from Glisten & Glow, Different Dimension, Cupcake Polish and Nail Vinyls

Provided for review

Wow this has been a week full of major milestones for me! Adding on to celebrating my two year water marbling anniversary I also hit 50K follows on Instagram, 3,000 likes on Facebook, 5,000 subscribers and 500,000 views on youtube! With all of this in mind I will be celebrating with a huge giveaway including over 9 contributors! I can’t wait to share it with you all!

But for today I have another exciting thing to share with you and that this is super Limited Edition collaboration including three holographic polishes from Glisten & Glow, Different Dimension and Cupcake Polish along with some silver and gold decals from Nail Vinyls! Thankfully there was some sunlight out today so I was fortunate enough to get pictures that really showed over the holo in each item.

First In Line by Glisten & Glow is a deep dark purple holographic cream that showed full opacity in two smooth coats. The holo is so intense in this beauty and its so awesome to be using a shade from G&G as they started making some in the past couple of months. Of course if you didn’t already know their top coat is the tits, meaning its amazing!

First In Line by Glisten & Glow in Direct Sunlight

First In Line by Glisten & Glow in Artificial Light

Gaining inspiration from Leslie of Work Play Polish for the placement of the decals I used a boot from each sheet, one of which is gold and the other being silver. Each sheet of the Shop Till You Drop decals has so much to it. There are more kinds shoes, purses, polish bottles, lipstick, perfume bottles and dollar signs; such a great combo of items for Black Friday.

Silver & Gold Decals from Nail Vinyls on First In Line by Glisten & Glow in Direct Sunlight

Up All Night by Different Dimension is a dark teal holographic cream that showed full opacity in two smooth coats. The pigment on this shade is out of this world! So intense yet the holo doesn’t get lost in it.

Up All Night by Different Dimension in Artificial Light

I used a trio of gold stickers from the gold sheet of decals using a perfume bottle, price tag and open polish bottle. Each sheet has three different types of perfume and nail polish bottles, its quite cute.

Gold Decals from Nail Vinyls on Up All Night by Different Dimension in Direct Sunlight

Trampled By A Shopping Cart by Cupcake Polish is a light lavender pink holographic crelly with bits of fuchsia sparkle throughout that showed full opacity in used three coats. This is the first time I’ve ever used Cupcake Polish and I am quite impressed by the unique quality this color has with the addition of the extra sparkles. Isn’t the rainbowness from the holo so lovely?!

Trampled By A Shopping Cart by Cupcake Polish in Artificial Light

Once again getting inspiration from Leslie of Work Play Polish I used a combo of  silver polish bottles and brushes and lipstick decals to go along with this girly shade. I cut some of the lipstick tubes to fit the length of my nail. Leslie did it much better but I tried!

Silver Decals from Nail Vinyls on Trampled By A Shopping Cart by Cupcake Polish in Direct Sunlight

A technique I’ve only done a couple other times before is the ever popular gradient. I decided to try it out with this trio of shades, my only mistake was not putting on some tape before sponging the polish, making mess-up take forever. But hey considering I’ve only done this a few times I saw it blended pretty well. Trampled By a Shopping Cart isn’t as prominent as the other two as it is the lighter of the three shades but I still like the way it all came together.

And I got a little crazy when it came to using the holographic decals overtop of this gradient but who’s to blame me?! I mean just look how awesome and unique they all are!

This collaboration not only comes from four equally talented and unique brands but also from four ladies that have become great friends, which I think is so awesome to see in this amazing community. The items are of great quality and the theme is great for the upcoming holiday season!

As mentioned before this set is limited edition so grab it while its hot! It would make a great addition to any polish or holographic lover collections or as a great present!

This set will be available at 12:01am and 1:00pm on Black Friday Nov. 28th for $40 plus S&H from each indie brands site!

Review Different Dimensions – Glittery and Glowy shades

Well I have been on quite a roll this week with my blog posts, maybe I should give myself a pat on the back! Been getting a little stressed snice school is right around the corner, but I’m sure when it starts things will be all peachy dory.

Here is a post that is a little overdue, some awesome Different Dimension Glittery lacquers, two of which glow in the dark. I have posted all these on my Instagram in recent weeks but they deserved their own post.

Merry Go Round has a white crelly base which glows blue in the dark! This polish has black, light pink, fuschia, and silver circles small and large. There are also black, light pink and blue squares and microglitters. What a combo! I used one dabbed coat of Merry Go Round overtop of Cult Nails ‘Tempest’.

Just look at this beauty glow! I love the way the big glitters make patches in the glowing effect. I charged my hand under light for just 10 seconds to achieve this glow. If you didn’t see it already check out this video I made on Instagram HERE.

Imitation is the Most Sincere form of Flattery has a clear base that glows teal in the dark. It contains silver holo microglitters with hints of purple. I used one coat overtop of one of my water marbles, what I like to call recycling a manicure, where I used Orly’s ‘Glowstick’ and an unnamed Island Girl pink. Not only do I love the name of this polish but I love the subtle sparkle it gives.

Overtop of my marble it glowed teal over the yellow and a mix of purple and pink overtop of the pink. I just love me a good glow polish. I also only charged this under the light for 10 seconds or so to achieve the awesome glowiness. I also made a quick video on Instagram for this shade. Check it out HERE.

My Highlighter Exploded is a clear base glitter topper filled with large neon pink and green hexes. There are also neon pink, green, blue and yellow medium and small hexes with lots of neon purple mircoglitters all in a matte finish. Here I used one coat over Cult Nails ‘Tempest’ and then added my Julep Matte coat because I love matte glitter, it really helps show all the glitters in a photo.

Here it is with topcoat, neon overlaod! The name goes perfectly with the combo of neons. I did a dry marble using some sally hansen xtreme wear colors, which also work great for water marbling. I do have a tutorial on dry marbling which can be found HERE. My Highlighter Exploded isn’t available as of now in Different Dimensions store but should be restocked soon!

Different Dimension Echoes Collection Review

You may or may not recognize the image above, I know I do for I love what it represent’s! The band Pink Floyd can be compared to The Beatles and Elvis Presley in my eyes. Even if you haven’t heard their music before you may still recognize some of the names in Different Dimension’s Echoes Collection which I have for you today! Neons and circles galore!

Money is a white crelly with blue, white and black large circles, neon yellow and green hexes and small circles, as well as gold and black square and round microglitters. This could also be worn on its own in two coats but I decided to use Julep’s ‘Courtney’ as an undie for Money making it look super green since it has that white base. With a few shakes I didn’t have too much trouble getting out those big round glitters and it applied really evenly! One coat then topped with my new Glossy Glam topcoat from my Girl Ricarda, probably my new fav topcoat. On my accent I used one of my new Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen‘s in green. After waiting around an hour or so I gently applied the dollar signs. Need a little more practice but I love the look of it!

Hey You is a lavender crelly with tiny dark purple and hot pink circles, small dark purple hexes as well as dark purple microglitters. This could also be worn on its own in 2-3 coats but I used Tillie Polishes ‘Sarong So Right’ as my undie. I really love the way the purple base made Hey You pop even more. Again using one of my new Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen’s, this time in Neon Pink I created the “art” on my middle finger. As you can see not all the lines came out the same pink color as it should. I think the reason why this happened was because I didn’t shake the pen enough before using it, since it was the first time. Alas I really love the faint light purple that it came out to be, such a Pink Floyd occurrence and design. Hey You applied perfectly and dried very smoothly with my Glossy Glam topcoat.

Wish You Were Here, one of my favorite Floyd songs, is banging glitter topper filled with blue, silver, pink and fuschia glitters in large and small circles and small squares with blue mircroglitters. Layered over Sally Hansen’s ‘Perfect Pear-ing’ and Zoya’s ‘Micky’ you can really see all the purty colors. And of course you can’t go wrong with round holo glitters, one of my fav trends that has been circling, haha circling, get it? After given it a good shake all the big glitters came out with one dip. A dab here and there on my nails and I was ready for a beach bar nightclub. Yea thats what I was feeling.

Time is also a glitter topper but filled with lots more varying types of glitter. Purple and black stars and big holo circles, black squares and diamonds, grey and silver hexes and small circles all filled up with silver microglitters, well that took some time to list. Layering time over a yellow was really calling me. The purple, black and yellow combo kind of reminds me of time and space. Using a new shade from Black Luna Lacquer ‘Master Plan’ I obtained the combo I wanted. (Master Plan will be available from Black Luna on July 27th) I also knew that I wanted to do a spiral water marble accent with this polish, time warpy right?! I used Sally Hansen’s ‘White On’ and ‘Black Out’ for the marble. Again shaking the bottle helped get the larger glitters out and I used one dabbed coat with my Glossy Glam topcoat.

Another Brick in the Wall totally reminds me of a fallen brick wall, but it would be at like Barbie’s house because of the awesome neon pink in it. Large and small neon pink hexes as well as neon pink, black and white squares filled up with plenty of black and holo silver mircoglitters. I layered one dabbed coat overtop of Sally Hansen’s ‘Kiwi Bikini’ and used ‘Fuchsia Power’ and ‘Black Out’ for the zebra like water marble. For some reason when I layered the glitter over Kiwi Bikini it changed it to a much more green color. This has happened to me before when using Milani Cosmetics ‘Teal’ and layering an indie glitter over it. See below for a bottle and nail comparison. It might be the base the glitter is in or it might be these teal colors fault. Whatever it is I still love the contrasting neon pink glitters overtop of the now green shade.

As you can see Kiwi Bikini is much more teal then what I have on my nails.

Last of this fabtabulous collection, Comfortably Numbanother fav song of mine. Large, medium and small neon pink hexes and lots of yellow medium and small hexes as well as pink and yellow squares fill up this topper. I wanted to use a brighter purple as an undie but then realized that Julep’s ‘Bette’ got a little darker once it was layered over itself. None the less the neon pink and yellow glitters still pop out at ya. Are you numb yet? I then used Julep’s ‘Avery’ and  ‘Daisy’ to create a matching water marble. Shake, dab, coat with Glossy Glam and you are good to go!

All in all I really love the versatility of all these shades. Also the colors of all the glitters really popped to me. And I was surely sold on the fact that they were all based off of Pink Floyd tracks. Too awesome!

What do you all think of these shades and the little accents I did with some of them?

Different Dimension Monster’s Inc Trio

Time for some more Different Dimension beauties!

Not even half way through all the polishes Missi from Different Dimensions sent me to share with you guys! I even found another one that had rolled under the couch still wrapped in bubble wrap; so many awesome creations!

In loo of the recent release of the movie Monsters University and since Missi’s children just love Monsters Inc so much she has created this trio of shades inspired by three of the main characters. Can you guess which ones?

Lets start with the biggest character, size wise not roll, the oh so lovable Sulley. Sulley is a light teal color in a sheer shimmery base. It has light blue and teal small hexes and squares, some sparse neon purple glitters to act as Sulley’s big purple spots and some fine iridescent glitters to add some more shine to it. One coat of Sulley overtop of Essie ‘Where’s My Chauffeur?’ was the perfect combo. The minty teal color of WMC complimented Sulley’s iridescent and almost clear looking glitter finish. Did a few Sulley spots of my own on my accent using Butter London’s Brummie overtop of WMC. I ended up wearing this for the rest of the evening and it really grew on me. I went to the supper market and kept finding all these boxes with the characters from Monster’s Inc on them. It was fun going up to them all and placing my nails on top of Sulley and saying “Hey Spencer look look I match!” (Spencer is my man.) Application was great! The glitters all came out in equal amounts and it was not too thick.

Of course Mike Wazowski would have to be part of this trio! Mike is a banging neon green shade with tons of green and gold shimmer to it and get this, has a matte finish! I love me some matte anyday, and how apporiate for Mike Wazowski’s shade to be in a matte finish. I used three semi thin coats for full opacity but probably could of gotten away with two. The picture below is without top coat and taken in the sun.

Yes my attempt is sad but I had to try and do a little Mike face on my accent nail. The green in this shade was too on point to not try! The photo below shows just how bright this shimmery beauty can get. Another fab creation from Different Dimension!

And lastly the cutest and tinniest character of them all, Boo! Boo is a white crelly with lavender and coral hearts, stars and flowers. It also has purple squares and coral hexes and micro glitters. Totally appropriate for a little sweetie like Boo. This would be a little thick for me if I had used it on its own so I decided to layer Boo overtop of Juleps ‘Simone’ a very light purplish pink color. Since Boo has a white crelly base this was a great undie to use. It didn’t take away from the purple glitters, reminding me of Boo’s little nighty she wears. Before each application I shook the bottle a little since the nice big glitters can tend to sink. But when shaking I had no problem what so ever getting them out. Using Simone and Zoya’s Micky I created a cute water marble accent to go along with the flowers in Boo.

I think I’m going to go watch this movie now, I really do love it!

Different Dimensions Holographic Lacquers

I suppose I needed a little break from posting since I haven’t done so since sunday. But that’s alright because these three new holographic shades from Different Dimension are, as they say, AMAZEBALLS! Fortunately I was able to get some shots out in the sun!

First up is Vulnerable, a nude shade with tons of holoness and a slight pinkish flash. I always love the way holographic polishes apply and this one did not disappoint. Two easy coats for full coverage and no top coat, that’s how shiny it is!

Added some cheetah print using Coral Rose, another new holo shade from Different Dimensions and Aengland’s Camelot. Cheetah print is an easy way to spice up a mute shade such as Vulnerable. But for some reason I’ve only done it twice; I need to get my spiciness going on!

Coral Rose is another holographic beauty filled with even more rainbow awesomeness. This color is such a trickster, its coral and rose balance is gorgeous. I used three perfectly applied coats for full opacity with no top coat.

Went out of my comfort zone even a little more and tried out doing some roses, after all I am wearing Coral Rose. Using LaCC’s 1950 for the rose buds and Aengland’s Camelot as well as Zoya’s Jacqueline for the petal’s I obtained such an elegant look! They may not be perfect but they sure do give the illusion of roses.

Just Keep Swimming, inspired by the Disney film Nemo is the last of these new beautiful holographic shades from Different Dimension’s. A dark blue holo that totally reminds me of when the sun shines through the very top of the sea and you can sometimes see rainbows. I know all about this since I was a fish in a past lifetime. With even more rainbow holo scattered throughout this had to be my favorite since I’m such a holo whore. I used two coats of Just Keep Swimming for a perfect finish.

Did a little bit of splatter art overtop of Just Keep Swimming using Cult Nails Evil Queen and Tempest. You might of seen this on instagram earlier this week for it was my July 3rd maniure. Perfect and simple for the eve of the 4th. I do have a tutorial on this design which can be found HERE. This photo was taken inside so Just Keep Swimming looks a little darker.

Totally in love with all these shades! Vulnerable, Coral Rose and Just Keep Swimming are all beautiful holo’s!
