Witches Leggings Water Marble using PolisHaus w/ tutorial

Provided For Review

I got thru another week of craziness and  couldn’t feel better! My town celebrates Halloween this weekend and I am so ready to rock my steampunk themed costume. Before I did nails for my outfit I had to do this super simple water marble that looks like witches leggings/tights. I did this same design last year in a little bit of a different combo its quite perfect for halloween. This type of marble design is also great for a background to your nail art as you get pretty straight and even lines.

I used some colors from PolisHaus a new to me brand that I instantly feel in love with. Zoila is the perfect orange creme that shows to be more orangey then my photos depict and Lulu the purple is also equally amazing. Beautiful fall colors that apply and marble great. I found nothing remotely negative about them and will for sure be getting more creams from them! The black I used is my ever faithful Bettina Cometics ‘Onix’ and I topped it all off with Lacquer Lust ‘I Like It On Top’ and Tillie Polish Matte Top coat.

Check out the tutorial below for this easy marble design!

You must check Lesley of PolisHaus out as her color selection is quite the lovely one! I’ll have a couple other colors from her here soon!

Halloween Nails – Water Marbled Mummies with TUTORIAL

What a great weekend it has been! I spent today at the pumpkin patch eating kettle corn and drinking apple cider and then I went on a lovely hike to Brandywine Falls. Thankfully I didn’t have any pressing assignments due or tests coming up so I knew it was time to work on another video. Over the weekend I sported these cute water marbled mummies inspired by Colette of My Simple Little Pleasures, my total marbling guru.

OPI ‘Taupe Less Beach’, ‘Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around’ and ‘My Vampire is Buff’ were great colors to achieve that nice nude base I was going for, plus they work great in the water. I used some Nail Vinyls to create the black strips as I can’t paint a straight line to safe my life! I decided to omit another black dot inside the white ones as it made the eyes look a little more spooky then cute.

Here is the marbled base without the mummy eyes. Very chic and natural looking it would be great for a wedding.

Various Nail Art using Tillie Polish Glamorous Collection

Provided For review

To continue on from yesterday’s post I have some various nail art to share with you using Tillie Polishes Glamorous collection!

A while back the ever so lovely Gaby of @Lacquerloon sent me a little package and included in it was this pack of Pueen nail stickers. At first glance these stickers looked kind of like a water marble. I figured applying them to the tip of the nail sort of like a french manicure would give the most unique effect. I wasn’t sure what to expect but they need up looking great over Tillie Polishes Royals It was a great base to compliment the colors in the stickers as they varied from gold to purple and purple to orange.

I created this bee themed skittle design using Tillie Polishes Posh as a base and some of Serum No. 5’s Queen Bee Nail Vinyls. This was quite the random manicure but it all goes together nicely with the accented water marble. I also used Tillie’s Glam Squad on my pinky

Heres a super simple manicure I did using Ethereal as my base stamped with Cirque Colors Memento Mori and a design from MoYou London Suki Plate 05. I never really thought of black and nude together but I instantly fell in love when I did the first nail. This was a great manicure to wear out to dinner with my friends the other night. Chic yet still eye-catching due to the elaborate design.

This half moon design, which happens to be my first of its kind, was my favorite manicure I did using this collection. I immediately envisioned this design when I saw these colors, possibly most likely to the fact that the half moon nail vinyls were sitting out on my desk but thats not the point. I started with a base of Royals and topped it off with Queen Bee and I’ve got to say these colors go quite well together.

I was going to stop there but something else was sitting out on my nail desk, my little box of gems. These green triangle studs from She Sells Seashells had been screaming at me that they wanted to be used for quite some time now. Now the impressive thing about this manicure is not only that its incredibly awesome, ah why thank you, but the fact that I’ve been wearing it for 10 days now and the gems are all still on.

Do you see this craziness?! I mean a whole 10 tens and no visible chips it practically looks fresh besides my extreme amount of growth. This is all thanks to Cirque Colors new Liquid Laminate Top Coat from their Back to Basics collection. After all the dishes I’ve done, all the showers I’ve taken and all the other crazy things my hands have been thru these gems have stayed intact and I am quite ecstatic. I didn’t use any glue to keep them in place only a drop of this top coat. I’l have a more thorough review of this in the coming weeks but as of now I say its a winner!

You can find the Glamorous collection on Tillie Polishes site, Cirque Colors top coat HERE and Serum No. 5’s Nail Vinyl’s HERE.

Tillie Polish Glamorous Collection Review

Provided For Review

Two posts in a day? Is this really Mucking Fussers blog?! Why yes, yes it is as I have finally reached a small lull in my school work! I went on a real swatching craze the other day and I am quite happy I did because even more polishes arrived at my doorstep. Its been a crazy awesome month. Here is a brand that I have been a patron of since their very first collection almost two years ago. The sisters from Tillie Polish always come up with beautiful collections and colors and this array of fall shades from their new Glamorous collection reaches those same standards.

Royals is a bronze shimmery cream that showed full opacity in two coats. This had a smooth application and was almost opaque in one coat. The shimmer on this beauty really makes it unique, and its such a gorgeous color for the coming months.

Queen Bee is a bright blue cream that showed full opacity in only one coat. This is such a smooth lacquer that I didn’t need topcoat to even it out, a recurring aspect of Tillie  Polishes creams (besides their summer 2013 collection which have more of a jelly finish to them then a cream one).

Ethereal is a nude cream that showed full opacity in three thin coats. Like many nudes in the polish world this was a little tacky after each coat leading to an increased wait time inbetween layers. After two coats it was almost opaque but I wanted to use a third to minimize streaking. The lightness of this nude does go with my skin tone kind of nicely

Posh is neutral taupe brown cream that showed opacity in two coats. Not as smooth of an application of Queen Bee but still quite lovely for only two coats and I am also showing it without topcoat. The color in general was a little streaky and showed darker patches in some areas but this really wasn’t too noticeable.

Glam Squad is made up of gold micro glitters in a gold shimmery to clear base. This could be worn alone in 2-3 coats but I went ahead and layered it over Queen Bee. This gold plus blue combo is a spot on combo for the fall season.

My favorites from this collection, even though I like them all, have got to be Royals and Queen Bee.

You can purchase the Glamorous collection which happens to be on sale from Tillie Polishes site.

Madam Glam Swatch and Review

Provided For Review

Today I have a few shades from Madam Glam, a new to me brand, to share with you!

Guacamole Fever is a green cream that showed full opacity in two smooth coats. Great formula on this shade as I am showing it without topcoat. Easily applicated and not your typical green as it shows a little brighter in my photo then its true color. This was by far my favorite of the shades I tried as it was the only cream and I am a sucker for those.

No Taboo is a pearlescent yellow gold jelly that required three coats for full opacity. The application for this was nice as each coat was thin enough to go over the previous. Each layer did  need a few extra minutes for drying but the outcome was rather smooth.

Be My Queen is made up of pink and silver micro glitters and had a cream like finish to it. This took only two coats for full opacity and was surprisingly smooth on application. A very shiny and sparkly shade great for the fall season.

Silver Sand is made up of silver microglittters with a grey shimmery base. The finish on this shade seemed similar to Be My Queen but the base was much fuller and creamy. This also took two coats for full opacity.

So Nude is a light nude jelly that required four coats for opacity. The application was a little tacky on this jelly and needed some extra dry time between layers but I was able to manage. I am particularly not a huge fan of nudes and this one doesn’t quite go with my skin tone. This shade was still a little streaky after these four coats as well but not noticeable enough to worry.

It Girl is a sheer orange jelly with silver micro glitters. I decided to layer this over Sally Hansens ‘Orange Crush’ but it could also be worn on its own in three coats. Not a shade you would see me wearing year round but something that would be great for Halloween. I can see some cool stamped bats over this.

Cirque Colors – Kaleospiscope and Vectors Design & Review

Provided For Review

Tests keep taking precedence over my blogging but that is acceptable since this is my last semester and school is important! I keep getting more and more collections and colors to share with you all from such amazing brands. Today I have this wacky cool manicure to share with you using Lacquer’s from the lovely Cirque Colors which keeps impressing me with its lovely colors and formulas!

I was about to swatch the two featured glitters in this design O mono solo when I realized smashing them both together in one manicure would be a great outcome. I also had two new creams from Cirque Colors Memento Mori (black) and Carpe Diem (white) which worked perfectly as bases for Kaleidoscope and Vectors; how amazing are all these names?!

I taped off half of my thumb and ring fingers with striping tape to achieve an even more dramatic and contrasting feel to all the colors. The stamped design from Moyou Londons Sci-fi plate 09 reminds me of the names of both glitters. It mesmerizes you but also is very organized in its design.

If you are looking for a new white or black cream look not further as the quality on these beauties is on par! These creams from the Back to Basics collection are my new duo for basic colors nowadays. Carpe diem gets used as the base in all my marbles and Memento Mori is so creamy and dark; they apply perfectly!

You can find all these colors at Cirque Colors or from one of their international stockiest HERE. Check them out on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for new colors, giveaways and much more!
