Lumina Lacquer More Holiday 2013 Shades

Provided For Review

Had a nice Holiday evening last night with Spencer (my boyfriend, best friend and roommate for the past 4 years). He took me out for lunch and we did some downtown shopping. Got a few last minute gifts, well really all the gifts and then listened to Christmas music and played a few games back home. Just an all around nice day, what a great time of year! So for my last holiday swatches I am very excited to share with you some great new Lumina Lacquer glitterbombs all which have some very different shapes of glitter to them. Lets start with my favorite, probably because it is the most colorful!

Lights, Christmas, Action has an abundant mix of multicolored large and small holo circle glitters in a clear base. This polish also has holo christmas tree glitters! Now I am sure your first thought is how the heck do you get those out of the bottle?! Well with Luminas it is usually all to easy to apply these larger glitters as the base is quite perfect; these really weren’t all to hard to get out. For my pointer I used a tree from inside the bottle and for the rest i used some extra loose tree glitter which you get when purchasing this shade. I just absolutely love love love this one! I layered it over black  which I think is the perfect combo as there are just so many colors and the silver dust mimics those glistening lights.

Had to add in an extra photo, I mean its christmas tree glitter people!

All Tied Up  is a mix of white, pink, fuchsia and  silver hex and circle glitters in a clear base. There are also white, pink and fuchsia bow glitters! After some shaking and a little bit of fishing for the bows I added it over top of Polish My Life’s ‘Raspberry Roses’ and ‘My Violet‘ (some of the most amazing cream formula’s I’ve tried) and Tiliie Polish’s ‘Tillie’ which is what the marble is done with. How girly and cute is this shade?! All these new shaped glitters on the market are so awesome and I love Lumina Lacquer’s use of them.

The Snow Queen has holo silver and blue star, circle, hex, square and microglitters in a clear base. This beauty also has holo snowmen and snowflake glitters!  I decided to layer this one over top of Tillie Polishes ‘Tillie’. When using this shade if I got a snowflake or man on my brush I would just use those but if not then I would dab my brush on an extra loose glitter which is also provided with any bottle. I don’t mind this and think it isn’t a hassle at all to have crazy shaped glitters on my nails. If I don’t have a marble on my nails then I usually have some kind of glitter, or a holo I can never get enough holo.

The Snow King (I know now you’ll need both! She also has The Snow Prince & Princess, it’s like a whole little family) is a mix of light/dark purple, silver and gold circle, hex and microglitter as well as holo silver star, heart, snowmen and snowflake glitters all in a clear base. I applied this one the same as I did The Snow Queen, grabbing the loose glitters when needed. Decided to layer it over Square Hue ‘Flower Power’, Cult Nails ‘Faded’, Rescue Beauty ‘Mismas’ and LVX ‘Modena’  as I felt gold and purple look pretty nice over all these colors and a King deserves to be showcased in the nicest manner.

As mentioned before extra loose glitters are supplied for polishes with those larger odd shaped glitters and really no problems on application. All these manicures were smoothed out with 1-2 coats of Glisten & Glow ‘HKgirl’ Topcoat which is still my go to topcoat these days.

These are only a few of the holiday polishes Lumina Lacquer has created for this year and they will be restocking after Christmas again so you still have a chance to grab these unique glitterbombs some are even available now in her store HERE. Also check out Lumina Lacquer on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM for new colors, restocks and giveaways!

Now that I am done with swatching all the Holiday shades I had to share with you all I am hard at work creating some Holiday looks before the actual day comes! Not sure if I’ll have any tutorials but there still will be some cool designs I have planned.

Lights, Christmas, Action is such a fun glitter! I’m not one for the oddly shaped glitters such as Christmas trees, but with the circle glitters it looks like a disassembled christmas tree :)

It really is! That’s totally understandable as they can be hard to work with at times but I find Luminas to be quite workable. And yes it really does look like a Christmas tree and all the ornaments and lights, its amazing!
